dr. michael cerrone
Dr. Michael Cerrone is Biotech Ink’s general counsel and chief financial officer. After earning two undergraduate degrees, in microbiology and biochemistry, Michael went on to earn an MS degree in immuno-oncology and immunoregulation at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He then earned a PhD in immunoparasitology and immunoregulation at Wake Forest University. For three years after completing his PhD, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in molecular biology at the University of California, San Francisco.
After his postdoctoral training, Michael attended the University of Miami School of Law, receiving his law degree in 1994. He also attended programs at Franklin Pierce School of Law, specializing in intellectual property. He is a member of the California Bar and is registered to practice before the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office). For several years, he was a director of intellectual property at Incyte Genomics, Inc., in Palo Alto, CA. With Susan Caldwell, he founded Biotech Ink in January 2005.
